Our Take on the Program
Steve’s program on conversational hypnosis has a very basic table of contents as far as I’m concerned. For the money, it’s probably not a bad choice, but I think that if you are serious about learning conversational hypnosis you’d be better to go with Igor Ledochowski’s program. I have never gone through this course from Steve, so I’m not 100% able to tell you what’s inside of it, but I have seen enough of his online videos to recognize good and bad. Igor is better, in my opinion.
Steve’s program is 18 CDs long and the first 2 are an introduction and a history. That’s a lot of time spend on things other than skill-building. Then there’s an entire CD on representational systems, which a lot of classic NLP folks tend to treat as gospel. It’s not something to rely on in hypnosis, period, and I don’t think it deserves a full CD.
Then there’s the CD on “suggestibility tests”, which I personally believe have absolutely NO place in covert (conversational) hypnosis. It just doesn’t make sense to me. You do not use suggestibility tests when you are doing conversational hypnosis, period.
There are several CDs geared towards sales tactics and two on dating. So if these are areas that matter to you, perhaps his course will give you some specific examples worth learning.
