Subliminal persuasion is rather a controversial issue even amongst the most competent hypnotists. Some hypnotists argue subliminal persuasion cannot be efficient because the messages of subliminal persuasion are not clearly heard or seen. However, other hypnotist argue that on some level, subliminal persuasion is heard or seen by the unconscious mind, even if a person is not consciously aware of the subliminal messages.
It would appear that subliminal persuasion does in fact have a huge effect upon the decision making processes of people. If subliminal persuasion did not work, then marketing agencies would not invest billions of dollars every year on billboard publicity. This is appealing because when people are driving, they usually do not have the ability to take their eyes off the road so that they can process the messages that are on the billboards. We could even go a step further and ask: Why would a marketing corporation put advertisements on active freeways when the marketing firms know drivers are not able to take their eyes off the road to look at them?
However, subliminal persuasion continues to rake in billions of dollars every year. Many systematic test have exposed that subliminal persuasion does work, it is for this reason politicians utilize the persuasion secrets of billboards whilst they are campaigning for an election. Again and again, we notice billboards with politicians pictures on them planted alongside our city streets. It cost a lot of money to use billboard advertising, and since this has been a popular marketing and advertising tool for decades, there must be some power in these persuasion secrets, whether or not the covert persuasion professionals can explain why.
There is also another fascinating study proving subliminal persuasion does work that was carried out by a department store. The department store used a subliminal persuasion audio that continued to repeat, “Stealing is bad. I will not steal”, and the percentage of shoplifting dropped over 35%. Nobody could in fact hear the messages, yet their unconscious did process the subliminal messages to the point that the subliminal messages changed their behavior. The persuasion secrets of subliminal persuasion will most likely always be subject to debate, as oftentimes the results of subliminal persuasion studies are subject to debate causing the results of these scientific studies to continually be under the umbrella of disbelief.
This we know for sure: Subliminal persuasion would not be a billion dollar industry unless it was helpful.
