How to Stop Smoking through Hypnosis

by admin on April 21, 2010

Many have fallen into the addiction of smoking despite the many warnings of the people around them even their own family. This is primarily because some people lack the will power to turn around and say no. Quitting smoking is often easier said than done maybe because they still see others around them not stopping the vice. For non-smokers they might see this as simple because it has always been easy to claim so if you do not find yourself in the very same state as one with an addiction to smoking.

Through the failed resources of quitting the habit many turn to hypnosis as a means to stop. Like said earlier, many cannot quit because they do not have the will power or might have one but too little of it. Hypnosis is a great way to fortify that will power of yours. Some hypnotherapy takes only one sessions and a few more follow up that may be optional. Although for some significant few, hypnotherapy for quitting smoking can be pricey but to most the price could be very well worth it. There are other people who have fully and deeply understood hypnosis and are capable of conducting self-hypnosis. This could be very good in doing follow ups on your quest to a no-smoking life.

As much as you are craving for that smoke, quitting it should not prove unpleasant or difficult. With hypnosis, you may be in for a treat as there can be no action that is without your desire or approval. All positive actions you make are born out of your own will. You were only moved and motivated to make such actions that may be beneficial to you. In hypnosis, you do not draw out something that you do not wish to contrary to other people’s apprehensions. Although you are put in a trance-like state, you are well aware and conscious of your thoughts and action thus deciding to make the choice of quitting smoking is indeed yours!

Some people fear hypnosis thinking that they are not going to “snap out of it”. This is one misconception as you could easily return to the consciousness you desire. Hypnosis does not turn off your consciousness in fact it brings you to a more heightened consciousness thus making you think and decide clearly. This should be enough to give you a sound decision of quitting smoking.

For a more effective way to stop smoking, some people incorporate it with some other method in the form of a smoking cessation program or a medication. However this is not quite necessary. This is only to address the behavioral issues and nicotine withdrawal. An effective hypnosis should be able to bring you to stop the habit of smoking and not leave you feeling regretful and with cravings to return.
